It’s 0700. I’m at the MRT transfer station to get to Changi Airport. The sun rose like a flaming orange ball. And ALREADY it’s hot!
It was hot lugging my bags to Bugis MRT from InnCrowd. And why am I up so frackin’ early? I’m flying to BKK today on my first visit. I hear it’s hot over there. Hotter than SIN.
Then I got hotter when I found out from JetStarAsia that I could only check one bag and that if I wanted to bring my other duffle, it would cost S$50. Each way. And then they tried to persuade me to bring my bag, “kept baggage will be the same price, lah”.
I called the left baggage office and found out it would be S$15 for three days (I arrive back at Changi on Friday). What are these JetStarAsia agents on, commission or crack? Despite either case, I left my duffle with my suit and shoes at Changi.

The seats are comfy and seat pitch is fine if you’re in an exit row, which I am. Because it looks like the seat pitch in a non-exit row is 29”. Sorta like Southwest. They sell things here too. Duty free. Drinks. Food. But the service is nice, nevertheless.
I’m staying at the Number One Guesthouse in Sumkavit. It’s supposed to be clean and cheap and has broadband. Like that!
