So after being up REALLY late last night trying to upgrade my MT installation, I ran into a LOT of bugs. “What kind?” you ask? Well…
First, MT integrates the bestest utility in the world, MT-Blacklist into the control panel. It’s a lot more powerful, but works very differently. Also, it wasn’t showing up right (formatting was all screwed up).
Second, the home page template was fine but the archive templates were still 2.65 based. When MT evolved into the next generation, the structures of the templates and CSS were changed. I’m not THAT good at coding yet!
Thirdly, after installing everything and getting it to work, it wouldn’t save and publish new posts because of an error involving “Remember Me”.
WTF?
So after several hundred brain cells killed trying to figure this out, I decided to do a clean install of MT 3.X. Changed the directory to “blog” and reinstalled everything after backing up the site.
If you are poking through the archives and a dead picture link shows up, feel free to leave a comment and I’ll fix it.
Clean install! Too bad we kanna do this with some aspects of life, huh?
