Nope. Not yet anyway. This is Kanako, formerly of Rumble Fish sitting in a container exhibit at the Tokyo Design Week event. It’s basically a container with a small incline with shredded papers, like the kind you empty out of your shredder at home.
The belle of the ball at the Tokyo Motor Show was the new GT-R.
Of cors, if you’re in the know, you know that you could get up close and personal with the GT-R at Nissan’s Ginza Gallery instead of having to deal with the scrum at the show. So here we are.
And of course, what’s a visit to the Gallery without saying hi to the staff?

Just got back. Whew. I spent the ENTIRE day at the Tokyo Motor Show. Took some pictures. Show report and more pictures soon.
The day before a trip, it’s good to have a proper brekkie before having your body all messed up by time change, jet lag and horrible airplane food.

And here’s something really cool! It’s a commercial for JR that uses the Music for Freelance remix of Tank! Not sure if this is the way JR meant it to be, with all the cool that Tank! oozes, but it works. JR is cool though.

New Futurama! Yay!

Hmmm. Let’s see what happened. The All Blacks lost so no semi-finals. SC lost so no BCS. Green Bay lost so no perfect season. And of cors, the 49ers lost.
I think I’m going to lay off sports for a while. Sigh.
People travel here for Fleet Week from all over California. The Canadians were well represented as was the US Coast Guard. The US Navy arrived earlier in the week.
The real draw of Fleet Week is the air show. And of course, that makes everyone go “ooooh” and “ahhhhh” while pointing at the sky and digressing to ten year olds.
Of course, a show is not just the main act, but also the openers too.
A Raptor made a brief appearance. Not one from the Colonies. Two rounds and then he was gone.
Before the main event, there’s an appearance by Fat Albert and its all Marine crew.
A new Airbus A380 buzzed the city.
And to end the day, a guy on a jetski on the Bay
This monstrosity was flying over my home so I had to get some nice pictures!
This is the ninth production A380 doing a round the world trip for engine certification. I wonder how SQ380 (the first revenue flight of the plane) will be like? Big flight crew, I figure…lots of stewardesses!! YAY!
