New Year’s 2005

New Year’s Eve 2004 consisted of 2 groups of people, 4 different events and a bad hangover the next day.
I dun usually drink champagne. Especially bad champagne. Which was what was served at these events. Hence the hangover.
Anyhooo, here’s to 2005 and more world travel! If only State would return my passport in a timely manner (I sent it back 4 weeks ago because it needed new pages), I could start traveling immediately. After all, the time from January to March is usually the time for cheap fares (except to Asia).
Instead, I’m stuck here in the US. Blah.

Housekeeping

Well, I decided that the previous design of the blog had too many bright colors.
It’s painful to the eyes. Unlike the words hidden in the bright colors.
So I’ve changed the style sheet and added some more links. Eventually, I will figure out how to sort by category and have that linked as well.
And no, I’ve not been anywhere recently. Bummer!

Imported Posts

Sooo if you’ve noticed, I’ve been able to import the travel entries from Blogspot. Next comes my previous blogs and hopefully some sort of gallery/thumbnailing program for the pix.
I have all the entries sorted by airport (type in NRT in the search box to find all the Tokyo entries for example) for easy reading.
Easy in a chronological way…until I get the categories indexed on the index page.

Hola!

Hah! I finally figured this out!
I installed Movable Type all by my lonesome! All it took was 2 months (on and off), a 12 pack of Diet Coke and gallons of tea. Over 2 months of course.
Now, I’ve gotta make this look pretty and try to import the Blogger entries from walkingixus.blogspot.com.
Muuhuuahhaaa!
