{"id":430,"date":"2006-03-17T15:52:37","date_gmt":"2006-03-17T15:52:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/walking-ixus.net\/blog\/?p=430"},"modified":"2006-03-17T15:52:37","modified_gmt":"2006-03-17T15:52:37","slug":"masons_in_sacramento","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/walking-ixus.net\/blog\/masons_in_sacramento\/","title":{"rendered":"Mason&#8217;s in Sacramento"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was in Sacramento late last week on business.<br \/>\nDespite being the capital of the 4th largest economy in the world, Sacramento, California has always had the reputation of being a culinary backwater.<br \/>\nAs in there&#8217;s no real places to eat!<br \/>\nSo when I had a meeting\/dinner to go to, my companion suggested <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theparkdowntown.com\">Mason&#8217;s<\/a>.  It was pretty good.  And if you hang out there long enough, the restaurant closes and it becomes a club.  And since you&#8217;re already inside, you&#8217;re already in!  (that&#8217;s for all of you that want to make an evening of it)<br \/>\nCheck this out!<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.walking-ixus.net\/blog\/photos\/macandcheeze.html\" onclick=\"window.open('http:\/\/www.walking-ixus.net\/blog\/photos\/macandcheeze.html','popup','width=640,height=480,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=no,left=0,top=0'); return false\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.walking-ixus.net\/blog\/photos\/macandcheeze-thumb.jpg?resize=320%2C240\" width=\"320\" height=\"240\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nThis is, quite possibly, the bestest macaroni and cheese I&#8217;ve ever had.  It&#8217;s baked in a small souffle dish and has all kinds of salty, flavorful cheeses in it.  It was truly sinful&#8230;<br \/>\nI ordered their Pan Roasted Organic Chicken (but was hungry so devoured it before had a chance for a pic) and my companion had the Whole Grilled Bone in Sea Bass (mutated sea bass with frickin&#8217; laser beams on their heads!!!).<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.walking-ixus.net\/blog\/photos\/seabass.html\" onclick=\"window.open('http:\/\/www.walking-ixus.net\/blog\/photos\/seabass.html','popup','width=640,height=480,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=no,left=0,top=0'); return false\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.walking-ixus.net\/blog\/photos\/seabass-thumb.jpg?resize=320%2C240\" width=\"320\" height=\"240\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<em>If you&#8217;re Chinese, this may look strangely familiar&#8230;<\/em><br \/>\nYup.
