Suckah!  Actually, they are two babes!  Heh.  This is Annie, a longtime fren and fellow Trojan and her daughter, Sophie.  A real babe!  Ha ha ha.<br \/>\nShe was an infant the last time I saw her.  Now she&#8217;s walking and talking and all that.  We grabbed a quick lunch near the Village at an Italian place where a lot of bigshots eat.  The food wasn&#8217;t bad but they dun take credit cards!!!<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.walking-ixus.net\/blog\/photos\/carbonara.html\" onclick=\"window.open('http:\/\/www.walking-ixus.net\/blog\/photos\/carbonara.html','popup','width=640,height=480,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=no,left=0,top=0'); return false\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.walking-ixus.net\/blog\/photos\/carbonara-thumb.jpg?resize=320%2C240\" width=\"320\" height=\"240\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<em>Spaghetti Carbonara with freshly shredded parmasian!  Numnumnum&#8230;<\/em><br \/>\nI took a cab back to East Broadway and Forsyth where I was to meet the Chinatown (erm, the Today) Basi to head back to DC.  Unlike the DC leg, this wasn&#8217;t easy to miss..<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.walking-ixus.net\/blog\/photos\/nybasi.html\" onclick=\"window.open('http:\/\/www.walking-ixus.net\/blog\/photos\/nybasi.html','popup','width=640,height=480,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=no,left=0,top=0'); return false\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.walking-ixus.net\/blog\/photos\/nybasi-thumb.jpg?resize=320%2C240\" width=\"320\" height=\"240\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<em>Where is da basi?  Where where?<\/em><br \/>\nAnd unlike the drama getting to New York, this was boringly efficient.  Left at 1600.  Got into DC at 2030.  Had a 10 minute rest stop that morphed into 30 because the guys at the Subway were too slooooow&#8230;<br \/>\nSo now I&#8217;m back in DC.
