That&#8217;s why it doesn&#8217;t look as conical as Fuji-san.<br \/>\n<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"sakura-jima.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.walking-ixus.net\/movabletype\/archives\/sakura-jima.jpg?resize=525%2C394\" width=\"525\" height=\"394\" border=\"0\" \/><br \/>\nUnfortunately, this is as close as we were able to get to it since we only had a few hours in town.<br \/>\nSince it&#8217;s still an active volcano (note the smoke above), there are concrete shelters all over.
