{"id":188,"date":"2004-08-29T02:29:09","date_gmt":"2004-08-29T02:29:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/walking-ixus.net\/blog\/?p=188"},"modified":"2004-08-29T02:29:09","modified_gmt":"2004-08-29T02:29:09","slug":"cant_speak_too_well","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/walking-ixus.net\/blog\/cant_speak_too_well\/","title":{"rendered":"Can&#8217;t speak too well"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sooo last night our little group (which was part of a bigger group called &#8220;USC&#8221;) converged onto Adams-Morgan last night for a private party.<br \/>\nBesides Washington DC having traffic planners imported from San Francisco (which meant that traffic dun move at all because of poor traffic planning), it was hot and sticky, which meant the club inside was hotter and stickier.<br \/>\nThere was also a shooting in front of the club as well.  DC ain&#8217;t boring!<br \/>\nStayed out too late, drank too much and got back to the hotel waaay too late.  And on top of it, I&#8217;m still on Pacific time which means going to bed at 0400.<br \/>\nSlept in today and took it easy, getting ready for the game.  Then we queued up for the bus ride to Lanover, MD.   It took us through &#8220;scenic&#8221; Anacostia.  SE DC.  At least the traffic moves quickly through the slums.  It was worse than South Central!<br \/>\nBefore the game, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dctrojans.org\/\">local Alumni club<\/a> arranged a corporate tailgate.<br \/>\nTrailers of Bud and Bud related beers with taps attached and lots of food.  That was a good deal because inside FedEx field, it was expensive.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/usctrojans.collegesports.com\/sports\/m-footbl\/recaps\/082804aaa.html\">We won<\/a>.
